Your visit to Disneyland Paris is rapidly approaching and you have decided to stay at the Explorers Hotel. Here are the answers to questions often asked by our guests and which you are perhaps asking yourselves as you pack the suitcases…
– I’m coming by car. Will I have a parking space at the hotel?
Yes, no problem. The hotel has a large 225 place free car park.
– I don’t have a car and will be arriving by train at the Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station. How do I get to the hotel?
The TGV/Ouigo/Eurostar station is located at the Disney parks entrance. Just opposite the station, simply board our free shuttle, bus n° 54 which will bring you straight to the hotel. The service runs all day and all year round from 6h 00 to 23h 45 and even a little later in Summer!
– And if I arrive by plane?
We advise you to book your tickets with the Magical Shuttle service which runs between the hotels and the Paris airports. See the Magical Shuttle web site for further information on the schedule and prices.
– At what time can I arrive at the hotel?
The rooms are ready at the Explorers Hotel from 15h 00, the suite from 14h 00.
And that’s where you say « oops, I planned on going to the park as soon as I arrived”? That’s not a problem, you can arrive when you like at the Explorers Hotel. Check-in at reception, if your room is ready they will give you key and if not, then you can leave your luggage in our free left luggage area (lockers with codes), and then go and enjoy your day and come back when you are ready. On your return, just collect the key to your room.
– I plan to arrive in the evening, is there a time limit for checking-in at reception?
The reception desk is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, so you are free to arrive when you wish.
– What equipment is there in the rooms?
You can travel light !
All the rooms are equipped with hair dryers, for example. We also provide towels. Please note however, that the towels provided are not to be used at the pool, for logistic reasons and because of the smell of chlorine. There is also a safe in your room to keep your objects of value safe during your stay at Disneyland Paris.
Discover all the equipment available in the room you have booked in the Rooms tab on our web site.
– I take medication that has to be kept cool, or I just need to keep some things cool. Do the rooms have a fridge?
The suites and the rooms have fridges, but the family rooms do not. But don’t panic! You can request this when you make your reservation, or if you have already booked, ask Guest Services before your arrival 01.60.42.60.12 or frontoffice@explorershotels.com.
Allocation is made according to availability and the number of requests. You can always store what you need to keep cool at reception.
– I am travelling with a baby. What equipment do you have?
Baby cots are available at no extra charge. Please indicate your requirements when booking or contact Guest Services (subject to availability). You are also welcome to use the microwaves located in the La Plantation restaurant for warming feeding bottles, even when the restaurant is closed.
– I have planned to spend the whole day in the parks. Will I have time to enjoy the hotel’s water playground?
With the long opening hours you can relax in the pool before or after your day in the Disney parks. The water playground is open every day from 8h 00 to 23h 00, with last entries at 22h 30. The Pirate ship and play areas, however, are open from 8h 00 to 11h 00 and then from 18h 00 to closing.
– Is the water playground open all year round?
The water playground is covered and heated, so it is open all year round. However, maintenance and cleaning operations have to be carried out twice a year, so we have to close it for a few days. The next closing dates are 19th and 20th September 2016 and from 23rd to 27th January 2017.
– I have forgotten my pool towels, or I did not know that I couldn’t use the room towels at the pool…Can I still use the pool?
Yes, of course, because we have thought of everything. You can hire towels at the water playground entrance. This price is 2€ per towel and you can keep the towel for the length of your stay.
– I’m not very reassured about taking my children to the water playground. Is there a lifeguard?
Yes, a lifeguard is present from Tuesday to Saturday, from 14h 00 to 23h 00. And when he is not there, our staff at the reception desk keep an eye on the swimmers!
– How can I get to the parks from the hotel?
The Explorers Hotel is located just a few kilometres from Disneyland Paris and just a few minutes from the hotel using our free shuttle service that circulates all day long (from 6h 00 to around midnight), at regular intervals of 15 to 40 minutes, dependent on the time of day. You can of course also use your own car. The Disney car park is free for all residents of the hotel (upon presentation of a card). It would be a shame not to take advantage of this exclusive Explorers Hotel advantage!
– Can I purchase my Disney entry tickets at the hotel?
Yes you can, directly from reception! You can consult our preferential rates (less expensive than at the parks’ entrances) on the web page dedicated to Disney tickets.
– I would like to take advantage of my stay at Disneyland Paris to go to Paris and visit the capital. How can I do this?
You can go to Paris easily on your own. The free shuttle service will get you to the Marne la Vallée RER station in just a few minutes. In 35 minutes, you will be in the centre of Paris. Check with Guest Services to prepare this excursion and find out which transport ticket is best suited to your needs.
You can also book an excursion by bus with the Paris Essentials Tour company, which leaves from the Magic Circus hotel at 10h 15 and returns around 19h 20. The price is 49€ per adult and 30€ per child.
